David Cisneros- Director of Outpatient Services

David got clean and sober in 1999, and began doing volunteer literacy work for Cri-Help, Inc. in 2000. He assisted in developing a literacy program for their sister program Socorro, in East Los Angeles.

While studying for his alcohol and drug certification at East Los Angeles College, David worked as a technician at Socorro and helped develop and manage several sober livings. After obtaining his alcohol and drug certification through CAADE, David was employed as a Chemical Dependency Worker (Counselor) at Socorro.

David strongly believes in the value of volunteer work and currently facilitates a relapse prevention group at Victoria's House, a highly-structured sober living home in Santa Monica. He has, in the past, been a volunteer for SASA (Students Against Substance Abuse), organizing panels of recovering addicts and alcoholics to speak at charter schools and adolescent outpatient programs in LA County for at-risk youth, as well as VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) at the Acton Rehabilitation Center, assisting addicts and alcoholics with literacy problems. David has also worked with at-risk youth from low-income communities in a variety of group homes.

David obtained his BA and MA in Counseling Psychology at Ryokan College. He has over 12 years of recovery through Narcotics Anonymous.
